This is a wine, with a limited production, which reflects the most modern facet of Bodegas Balbás, breaking the rules in terms of its complexity and structure. It’s the result of a combination of Tempranillo and Merlot from a high-altitude estate with extreme conditions. The rigorous selection of the grapes, followed by meticulous extraction and ageing, gives this wine its harmonious but intense character.
Full of nuances and intensity, the nose is complex and velvety with an explosion of aromas of wild fruits, dark chocolate and mineral notes all elegantly combined with hints of creamy toast from its ageing in French oak. An elegant, out of the ordinary wine that surprises in all senses, with great body and power.
Aged 18 months in French oak barrels
